Indiana Fever superstar Caitlin Clark continues to show why she’s become one of the country’s most popular athletes. This time, she did it by surprising an Indiana high school girls’ basketball team with some very special gifts.
Clark gifted the Zionsville Community High School girls’ basketball team new pairs of her signature Nike shoes, the Caitlin 1s. Zionsville sits 22 miles northeast of Indianapolis, home of the Fever.
Judging by the players’ reactions, they were pretty excited by the gesture. In a video shared by the school on social media, the players can be seen opening the boxes, screaming, jumping around and hugging each other after discovering what was inside.
“Really cool night for Zionsville Girls’ Basketball. Thank YOU, Nike and Caitlin Clark!” the team wrote on X.
Caitlin Clark Hopes Her New Signature Shoes Inspire The Players
The Zionsville Community High School players received pairs of the blue version of Clark’s signature shoe, which officially went on sale earlier this month. Fans immediately loved the shoes when they came out, with several sizes reportedly selling out quickly.

Caitlin Clark previously explained that she was heavily involved in designing the shoes, which feature her personal logo and invoke several messages inspired by her basketball career.
“I hope when people put the shoe on, they can feel a part of me,” Clark told The Associated Press in September. “I hope more than anything, it gives people confidence that they can dream to achieve whatever they want and they feel like they can be me in the shoe.”
Caitlin Clark Has Been Keeping Busy Away From Basketball
The shoe giveaway is just one of several projects Caitlin Clark has been working on outside basketball.
As Athlon Sports reported on Tuesday, Clark is preparing to release her first children’s picture book, EXTRAordinary! A Little EXTRA to Reach BIG Dreams, on November 3.
The 32-page book, drawn by Adri Predoi, talks about teamwork, staying strong and the value of family, friends and players working together to reach a goal.
Clark first announced the project in May and recently reminded her fans that the book is now available for pre-order through Random House.
She is also still working with her Caitlin Clark Foundation, which helps people through sports, school and food programs. So, between her Nike shoes, upcoming book and charitable work, Clark is certainly finding ways to keep busy during the WNBA offseason.
For a group of high school basketball players in Indiana, that meant a memorable surprise from one of their favorite athletes.
