Iowa Women’s Basketball superstar Caitlin Clark has been making waves every time she’s taken the court the last four years. Now, she only has one regular season game left at Carver-Hawkeye Arena.

Caitlin Clark actually does have another year of eligibility to use. But, she announced on Thursday that she will instead enter the upcoming WNBA Draft.

That means that Sunday’s huge showdown with second-ranked Ohio State is her final regular season home game is one of the toughest tickets in college basketball history, men’s or women’s.

It was already going to be a tough ticket. With Iowa ranked sixth, and the Big Ten Champion Buckeyes coming to town in a good time slot on Sunday Afternoon, the anticipation for the game has been building for months.

Now, with it being her last regular season game at Iowa, prices have truly skyrocketed. Look at this data, gathered by local radio host Keith Murphy.

Updated secondary market prices to see #2 Ohio State vs #6 Iowa Sunday, via @TickPick:

•The current “get-in” price is $459
•The most expensive ticket purchased is $1,001
•The overall average purchase price is $546

When I looked the other day, ticket prices were around $250 for the cheapest seats mid-week. That’s still an incredibly high number. But, now, they’ve nearly doubled in anticipation to the game.

It’s hard to blame anyone for paying those prices. Clark, the all-time leading scorer in NCAA Women’s Basketball history, will likely pass Pete Maravich for the overall crown on Sunday. She needs just 18 points to pass Pistol Pete. Considering she’s averaging 32.2 points per game this year, so it would be hard to see her not get that record Sunday.

But, it’s going to cost a pretty penny on the secondary market to see her play on Sunday. Thankfully, fans may be able to see Caitlin Clark for a slightly cheaper price in a few weeks. In the Women’s Basketball tournament, the highest seed in the first two rounds hosts their four-team pod. That will almost certainly mean she will get two more home games at Carver-Hawkeye Arena.
