Caleb Williams hears all of the people who are encouraging the Chicago Bears to keep Justin Fields instead of drafting him No. 1 overall. He is keeping receipts.

Or does the former Heisman Trophy winner want to land elsewhere?!

That is the question after his most recent activity on social media. It continues to be a question after months and months — and months — of speculation about his interest in playing for the team that is currently slated to pick first in April.

Legendary kick returner and wide receiver Devin Hester joined Up & Adams with Kay Adams on Thursday morning to discuss the future of the team that drafted him in 2006. He thinks that Chicago should stick with Fields. He does not believe that the organization should draft a rookie quarterback.

Rather, Hester is firm in his belief that Fields is the path forward, not Williams. The rest will sort itself out but start there. Do not trade Fields. Do not draft the former Oklahoma and USC signal-caller at No. 1.

Williams took note of Hester’s comments and issued a “like” on X.

WHAT DOES IT MEAN?!

Well, it could indicate one of two things. Either Williams does not want to be selected by the Bears, or he is using all of the haters as motivation for the future.

It is likely more the latter than the former. Williams has stated publicly that he would be more than happy in Chicago and further set the record straight at the NFL Combine.

The Bears were a 7-10 team last year, and that’s pretty good for a team that has the pick. They got a good defense. They got good players on offense. It’s pretty exciting if you can go to a situation like that.

At the end of the day, the top quarterback in this upcoming NFL Draft is focused on only one thing. Williams wants to be drafted first overall. He believes that he has earned that right, regardless of which team ends up with that pick come April 25.

Should it be the Bears, like everyone expects, Caleb Williams will use Hester and others to fuel his fire!
