Caleb Williams Fixed The Way He Says ‘Da Bears’ After Getting Mocked For ‘Zesty’ Delivery On Day 1

Very few rookies in the NFL have been as polarizing as Caleb Williams. The new franchise quarterback for the Chicago Bears is criticized for every single thing that goes down both on and off the field.

Haters LOVE to hate him!

Williams marches to the beat of his own drum and does things a little bit differently. He is always unapologetically himself, all of the way down to his painted fingernails and pink phone case. Both of those things, as well as the time that he cried after a loss and said that he wanted to go home to watch Netflix and cuddle with his dog, infuriated a lot of people.

They don’t like how it looks for a man to do things Williams’ way, as opposed to the way of the 1950s. They spend a lot of time an energy caring about someone who does not even know they exist. It is almost as if they think their view on life is the only way to live. Of course, that is not the case.

In this particular instance, Williams actually took note of his fanbase’s opinion!

To close out his introductory press conference with the Bears, he gave a loud and proud “Daaaaa Bears.” There was some unique intonation to his delivery.

The way that Williams said “Da Bears” did not go over particularly well. Even some Chicago fans requested that he work on how he says the iconic line. Others called him “zesty.”

Whether intentional or not, Williams switched things up on the second time through. He closed out his first press conference at rookie minicamp with a classic “Da Bears” — sans zest — on Friday.

It seems like Caleb Williams is going to end every press conference from this point forward with the famous tag line and that rules. It would be even more fun if he switches up the way he says it every time, just to keep the people who don’t like him on their toes!
