Caleb Williams Appears To Be So Over His Time With Oklahoma That He Is Just Giving Old Gear Away

It has been 67 days since Caleb Williams officially entered the transfer portal and 39 days since he transferred to USC. In that timeframe, it appears that he is completely over his time with Oklahoma.

Williams, who committed to play for head coach Lincoln Riley in Norman as part of the Class of 2021, began the season as the backup. Halfway through the year, after early season struggled from Spencer Rattler, he took over at quarterback and led the largest comeback in Red River Shootout history.

From that point forward, Williams was the starter for the Sooners. After the regular season, Riley left for the same job at USC and Williams was expected to follow.

However, the 19-year-old chose to stick with his team through the Alamo Bowl. And then, after beating the Ducks, he entered the portal.

Since then, after a lot of smoke and mirrors, Williams committed to join Riley in Los Angeles and has signed some lucrative deals for NIL. A few weeks ago, prior to the Pac-12 Tournament, he used one of his NIL deals to gift the women’s basketball program with new headphones.

Now he is giving even more stuff away. It’s not as cool this time, but it speaks loudly about where Williams stands.

He is all-in on the Trojans.

USC Trojans Assistant Athletic Director/Director of Player Relations Gavin Morris posted an Instagram story with a new pair of Jordans. They were gifted to him by Williams.

The shoes, which say Williams’ name on them, are wrapped in Oklahoma crimson and branded with OU.

Williams clearly has no sentimental value attached to his time in Oklahoma, outside of the notch on his resume. All he wants is cardinal and gold.
