Stanford Basketball Star Cameron Brink Appears To Yell F-Word At March Madness Ref After Hard Foul

Cameron Brink Swear Curse Referee

Cameron Brink played her final home game as a member of the Stanford Cardinal on Sunday night. The women’s college basketball star was shown an early exit late in the closing moments of regulation.

She was not happy about it.

Brink, who averaged 17.5 points, 11.5 rebounds and 3.6 blocks per game during her fourth and final season, did not have her best night in the Second Round of the NCAA Tournament from a statistical standpoint. It was not a problem because her eight points, eight rebounds and five blocks were far less important than her defensive assignment.

Stanford’s 6-foot-4 forward had to guard Audi Crooks. Brink held Iowa State’s freshman phenom to just 10 points and eight rebounds two days after she recorded 40 and 12 in the First Round.

They were battling in the paint from start to finish. Rather, from start until the eighth minute of the fourth quarter.

Brink was called for her fifth and final foul as Crooks tried to back her down with 2:11 remaining.

How it was not deemed a shooting foul is beyond me, but it was somehow on the floor. The foul sent one of the best bigs in the country and a two-time Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year to the bench.

Brink was displeased with how the game was officiated. That was made clear as she left the floor.

Did Cameron Brink swear at an official?

It appeared as though she directed a pair of choice words in the direction of the nearest referee on her way to the bench in an unfortunate ugly moment. You can be the judge!

Fortunately, the seemingly uncouth exchange was not the final moment of her college basketball career.

Stanford rallied in overtime, won by six and advanced to the Sweet 16. Brink’s final dance will continue into next weekend!

Although her exit was not the most gracious, she and Crooks shared a special moment in the handshake line. Brink told her: “You’re already good. You’re going to be so good.”

There is a high probability that the Cardinal star will be a top-three pick in the upcoming WNBA Draft, likely No. 2 behind Caitlin Clark. Cameron Brink is not concerned with the future.

Stanford has its eyes on a national championship!
