Stanford Cardinal star, Cameron Brink, made history after becoming the first women’s college basketball player to sign an NIL deal with New Balance.

This is massive news, as it opens the door for even more women in college sports to sign massive NIL deals of their own.

According to On3, the Stanford star is over the moon about signing with New Balance. Here’s what she had to say about her new deal.

“I am honored and excited to join forces with New Balance. Their ability to empower athletes perfectly aligns with my own values, and I look forward to this journey with them. I hope we inspire athletes around the world to fearlessly pursue their dreams.”

New Balance also shared a statement of their own, as the company is excited to sign their first women’s college basketball player to an NIL deal, per On3. Here’s what Naveen Lokesh, New Balance Head of Basketball Sports Marketing, had to say about it.

“We are thrilled to welcome Cameron as the first female basketball player to join the New Balance family. Cameron’s exceptional skill on the court and her desire to give back align perfectly with New Balance’s desire to change the game for the better. We are excited to support Cameron reaching new heights in her career and contributing to the growth of women’s basketball for years to come.”

Brink and New Balance are going to be a perfect pair, as On3 reports they “will also participate in ‘community-driven initiatives’ to help young, female athletes.”

On3 also marks Brink’s NIL valuation at “$200,000, which ranks No. 8 among current women’s college basketball players.” Cameron Brink clearly secured the bag with this deal.

Cameron Brink has been a star for Stanford since her freshman year. In 2021, she helped lead her team to a National Championship win.

Last season, during her junior year, Brink recorded an impressive statline of 15.1 points, 9.6 rebounds, 3.5 blocks and 1.8 assists per game.

She is entering her senior year and aims to lead Stanford to another National Championship before ending her collegiate career.
