Hailey Van Lith is not by no means short but Cameron Brink makes her look miniscule. Especially when she is wearing high heels.
The height difference at their latest reunion gave me a really good chuckle.
For those who don’t know, Van Lith and Brink were tight even before they began their respective professional careers in the WNBA. They played together on Team USA at the 3X3 FIBA World Cup. Now they’re both in the league. Brink with the Los Angeles Sparks. Van Lith with the Chicago Sky.
According to the roster, Cameron Brink plays at 6-foot-4, 170 pounds. Hailey Van Lith stands at 5-foot-9. Her weight is not listed.
The average height for a woman in the United States is 5-foot-3.5 so they are both well above average. The average height for a woman in the WNBA is approximately six feet so Brink is also above average among her peers. Not Van Lith. They have about seven inches between them.
That height difference increases when Brink wears heels. She is currently working back from a torn ACL so she has yet to suit up for a game in 2025 and often uses the sideline as her own personal runway. For example:

Brink wore two- or three-inch high heels at the Sparks’ most recent home game against the Sky. Van Lith was playing so she was obviously in uniform. The former made the latter look like a small child when they got together on the court for a postgame reunion.
As funny as it is to see Brink completely dwarf Van Lith, this is what makes sports so cool. Hailey Van Lith and Cameron Brink are of very different body types but they both play the same sport on the highest level in the same league. There are not many other avenues of life where a 6-foot-4 woman could be of equal status as someone more than half a foot shorter!
