Camryn Dailey is the biggest star in track and field on the middle school level. She will very soon be one of the biggest stars in the world on any level if he she can stay on her current trajectory.

The 13-year-old sprinter already set three world records this year!

Dailey competes in track and field for the Track Xplosion Youth Club out of Raleigh, North Carolina. Although there is still a very long way to go before she could even be considered for the Olympics, the seventh-grade phenom is next up for Team USA. She already out-paced some all of the greatest runners of all-time in the 60-, 100-, 200- and 400-meter events at her age. It’s crazy.

Dailey began the 2025 season with a blazing fast time of 23.76 in the 200m at the VA Showcase. She followed it up with a personal best 22.90 at the Ken Roberts-Panthers Elite Track and Field Challenge.

Her performance in the 400m is even more impressive. Dailey went 54.64 at Middle School States at the beginning of May.

That was nearly two seconds slower than the time she put up at New Brooks PR Junior Invitational over the weekend. Camryn Dailey ran 400 meters in 51.67 to become the first middle schooler in history to break 52.

It was the second-fastest time this year for high school. It was the fastest time for her age group, ever.

As you could imagine, she was fired up with the run!

To put that time in perspective, Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone ran a 51.87 as a senior in high school. Allie Wilson, Aaliyah Butler and Athing Mu were all around 52 seconds flat in high school. Camryn Dailey is right on their heels as a seventh grader. That’s crazy.

To make her track record (pun intended) even more impressive, she also owns the age-13 world record in the 100m at 11.37. Her personal best of 7.40 is also pretty close to the record in the 60m.

Needless to say, Camryn Dailey is on her way to greatness. She is already great as it is! All we can hope is that she continues to enjoy the sport, stays healthy and doesn’t burn out. The future of United States track and field is in good hands feet.
