Undisputed 168-pound boxing champ Canelo Alvarez isn’t entertaining a fight against Jake Paul anytime soon.
After defeating Nate Diaz last week, Paul told the media that he wants to fight Alvarez.
Paul doubled down on his call out of Canelo during an appearance on the ‘Impaulsive’ podcast and predicted that he would beat the Mexican boxing champ in three years.
“I’m predicting what’s gonna happen 3 more years from now. So I’m gonna get to his skill level and beat him. I have one of the greatest self-belief systems in the world and I know what I’m capable of with this new team. I can give Canelo a serious run for his money.”

During his pre-fight press conference for his fight against Jermell Charlo, Alvarez was asked about Paul’s call-out. Canelo immediately advised Paul to calm down and call out other fighters on his level.
“My level is another level. But look, I think he needs to enjoy what he’s doing and that’s it, he needs to calm down and start calling out people at other levels.”
“I think he needs to focus on what he is doing,” “He’s doing good things,, he needs to just enjoy that.”
“My level is another level – But he’s doing good things!” @Canelo likes what @jakepaul brings to boxing, but reminds him of the differences in skill.
