Jake Paul is feeling himself after his latest win.

On Saturday night in Puerto Rico, Paul made quick work of pro boxer Ryan Bourland and knocked him out in the first round.

After his win, Paul called out 168-pound undisputed champ Canelo Alvarez.

“Canelo, stop ducking, I know you want it. I’m repping Puerto Rico, you’re repping Mexico, so it’s Mexico vs Puerto Rico. I want Canelo. I’m the face of this sport. Who’s doing more for boxing than me?”

During a recent podcast appearance, Paul said he wants to take a more traditional boxing route in hopes of moving up the ranks and becoming a world champion.

“I want to take this more traditional boxing route of moving up into the rankings, fighting professionals, and taking the route to become world champion. Like the prospect of my caliber would be doing. We’re looking at some pro boxers, and they’re not gonna be big names. I want to challenge myself, continue to grow in this sport, and get to the top of it.”

As for Canelo, he doesn;t seem too interested in a fight with Paul at the time being.

“My level is another level. But look, I think he needs to enjoy what he’s doing and that’s it, he needs to calm down and start calling out people at other levels.”

“I think he needs to focus on what he is doing,” “He’s doing good things,, he needs to just enjoy that.”
