Cardinals’ Emari Demarcado’s Boneheaded Play Up Ended Costing Team The Game Vs Titans

Cardinals running back Emari Demercado might want to stay off of social media for the next few days.

On Sunday, Demercado made a boneheaded play when he dropped the bal before crossing the goal line in what would have been a 72-yard touchdown run.

Unfortunately for Demercado, the Cardinals went on to lose by a point, which meant his play ultimately affected the game.

Cardinals QB Kyler Murray spoke to the media about the play.

“If I was on the other side, and I see that, it’s kind of a sigh of relief. It’s about to be 28 points, would’ve been a two, three score game. [The] game is probably over, but that happens. I wouldn’t say it gave them momentum but it gave them a sense of life and hope, which you can’t give teams in the NFL.”

“I’m really close with Emari. I know his character, I know his IQ of the game and never in a million years would I think Emari would do that. We all make mistakes, he’s going to take that on the chin, and he understands that. We all got to be better.”

Cardinals fans want Emari cut from the team following the play.

“I like Emari Demercado, but you have to cut him. You can’t survive that with what is happening.” commented one fan.

“See ya, Emari Demarcado. You’re fighting for a job and you do that. If the Cardinals want to show a little bit of discipline, which they desperately need, they cut him before the day’s over, regardless of the RB injury situation. There’s guys available who don’t drop the ball.” said another fan.
