Carmelo Anthony has remained unsigned this offseason and on Friday afternoon he went on ESPN’s ‘First Take’ to clear the air in a candid interview with Stephen A. Smith.
While speaking with Stephen A., Melo opened up and revealed that there was a point that he didn’t want to play basketball because he didn’t want to deal with the “politics” but that he misses the game too much and wants back in.
"I felt like the game didn’t love me back at that point. … Now, I love the game too much to be away from it."

The Lakers currently have a roster spot open but according to The Athletic’s Shams Charania the team is unlikely to sign Anthony this season. At the end of the day Melo will probably get another shot but we’re going to have to wait and see when that happens.
