Carmelo Anthony and LeBron James have been friends for over 20 years, and now we’re learning about how they first met.
During a live taping of Kevin Hart’s Gold Minds podcast filmed in Miami, Anthony told the story of how he and LeBron first linked up.

“It started at Oak Hill, we might prior to that at USA basketball but it was hi and bye…It was more like I’m watching you, I see you, I hear about you…
“Then we played each other at Oak Hill in Jersey during All-Star weekend that was in Philly, that’s when we met, sat in the hotel of the lobby before the game, it was just like two kids looking for something from each other and we found it.”
“I think at that point I was looking for a brother in the basketball realm and he was looking for somebody like that…it was like a movie how came together at the top of the steps we sat there for 3 hours and start talking about sh–.”
