Incredible Stat Shows Just How Bad The Carolina Panthers Were This Season

The Carolina Panthers were, by any and all accounts, the worst team in the NFL this year. They finished at 2-15, and were lucky to get victories in the two games they won.

It was a disaster from start to finish for the Carolina Panthers. Head Coach Frank Reich was fired after just eleven games, and the development of first-overall pick QB Bryce Young was just terrible.

To make matters even worse in Carolina, they traded away their first-round pick, among other things including star wide receiver DJ Moore, to Chicago in order to acquire the pick to draft Young. So, not only were they the worst team in the league, but as of now they don’t have any first-round picks. Just awful.

Just how bad were the Panthers this year?

They never led during the fourth quarter for a single play during the entire regular season.

Yes, they won two games, but both were on walk-off field goals as the clock hit zero.

On Sunday, the defense played well, keeping a pretty solid Tampa Buccaneers team out of the end zone. But, they were shut out themselves, losing 9-0 in the finale.

Hopefully embattled and oft-criticized owner David Tepper can turn it around for the team’s fans with a great hire to be the team’s coach going forward. If not, it could be a long period of darkness in Charlotte.
