Ole Miss wide receiver Cayden Lee is gearing up for his third season in Oxford following his most productive campaign to date. In 2024, the pass catcher recorded career-highs in yards and receptions. He landed third-team All-SEC honors in the process.

Lee racked up 57 catches for more than 870 yards. He capped the year with an eight-catch performance in the Rebels‘ bowl win over Duke. Most impressively, he didn’t have a single drop throughout the regular season.

Lee arrived at Ole Miss as a four-star talent. He’s lived up to the bill thus far. With leading receiver Tre Harris off to the NFL, Lee’s role is only expected to grow in 2025.

Soon, the Rebels football team will gear up for spring practice. Until then, Lee is enjoying his downtime as a typical college student would.

On Wednesday, he was on hand to watch the Ole Miss softball team take on McNeese in midweek action. He attended the matchup alongside new starting quarterback Austin Simmons. The Rebs shut the Cowboys out, 4-0.

At one point in the contest, a t-shirt was fired in the direction of Cayden Lee. The typically sure-handed receiver did the unthinkable. Lee dropped the souvenir as his QB1 watched in disappointment.

Fans jokingly shamed the pass catcher on social media after the fact. The activity eventually triggered a response from Lee, himself.

Ole Miss fans will likely let this particular drop slide. He’s still made all the important plays on the football field. Still, they couldn’t let the moment pass without a jab. Lee took it in stride.
