Boxer Cherneka Johnson made headlines at her recent weigh-in as she stepped onto the scales topless and covered in white body paint.

Despite her attention-grabbing appearance, Johnson was unable to defend her IBF Super-Bantamweight Title, losing to Great Britain’s Ellie Scotney in a hard-fought match.

The highly anticipated bout took place on Saturday, as part of the Sunny Edwards-Andres Campos undercard at London’s iconic Wembley Arena.

Johnson, a 28-year-old Australian, entered the ring as the reigning IBF super bantamweight world champion, boasting an impressive 15-1 record. She put her title on the line against the determined Scotney.

The fight went the distance, lasting the full ten rounds, and culminated in a unanimous decision from the judges, declaring Scotney the winner and the new IBF Super-Bantamweight Champion. Although Johnson fought valiantly, her opponent proved to be the superior boxer on the night.

After the match, Johnson took to Instagram to address her fans and reflect on her loss. Posting a video of herself with visible bruises, she acknowledged the disappointing outcome but expressed her determination to find positives in the situation.

Johnson stated, “Unfortunately, wasn’t the result we wanted tonight, but I’m a person to take a positive from a negative situation. I grew as a fighter from this loss.” She went on to thank her supporters and congratulate Scotney on her victory.

While Cherneka Johnson may have faced a setback in her latest title defense, her resilience and determination indicate that this loss will not deter her from making a strong comeback in the future.

Boxing enthusiasts will undoubtedly keep an eye on Johnson’s future endeavors as she continues to strive for success in the sport she loves.
