The Chicago Bears shook up the entire NFL world on Thursday when they made a blockbuster trade, sending a pair of first-round draft picks to the Tennessee Titans in exchange for superstar defensive tackle Jeffrey Simmons.
The addition of Simmons immediately solidifies Chicago’s place as a genuine Super Bowl contender, especially if star quarterback Caleb Williams can remain healthy.
But before Simmons and Wilson can get on the field together Monday against the defending champion Seattle Seahawks, the pair may need to mend some fences.

Jeffrey Simmons Dissed New Teammate Caleb Williams For Painting His Nails
Prior to Williams even entering the NFL, he received flak from all corners of the football world over the fact that he paints his nails.
That includes Simmons, who made an appearance on the “Rich Eisen Show” and dissed Williams for painting his nails before the two squared off with one another in Week 1 of Williams’ rookie season.
“Painted nails. I can’t wait to say that to him,” Simmons told Eisen. “All the hype’s gonna be around [the Bears] of course… That also makes me even talk more smack and boost me up a little more, get into a different mode, as well.”
Simmons later clarified that the comments weren’t personal. But we’re not sure if Williams felt the same way. Thankfully for Williams, he won’t have to worry about Simmons coming after him anymore.
But that first conversation between the two at the Bears’ team facility could be a little awkward.
