To the surprise of the NFL world, the Tennessee Titans were willing to trade A.J. Brown entering the 2022 season, following unsuccessful contract negotiations. It turns out, it wasn’t just the Eagles who tried to trade for the talent receiver.

Speaking on the Raw Room podcast, A.J. Brown revealed that the Kansas City Chiefs and New York Jets also tried to trade for him, among other teams.

Prior to being traded on Draft night, Brown was a key part of the Titans’ offense ever since he was drafted in 2019. In his first two seasons in the NFL, he has amassed over 2, 990 receiving yards and scored 24 touchdowns.

If the Kansas City Chiefs or New York Jets were able to acquire Brown in a trade last year, he would’ve been a significant asset to their team.

The Jets, and the Chiefs to a lesser degree, struggled at times during the 2022 season on offense, and adding a dynamic receiver like Brown would’ve helped boost their offensive production. Brown’s ability to make big plays downfield and break tackles after the catch would’ve made him a dangerous weapon in either team’s offense.

A.J. Brown was ultimately a star in Philly, setting the franchise’ single season record for receiving yards in a season. He also helped them win in other ways.
