Chip Kelly Announces Colin Kaepernick Will Start For The 49ers This Week Against The Bills

For the past few weeks Niners fans have been pleading with the 49ers to start Colin Kaepernick after Blaine Gabbert’s horrendous 1-4 start and it appears that they’re finally getting their wish.

Today, San Francisco 49ers head coach Chip Kelly named Kaepernick as the team’s starting quarterback for their upcoming game against the Buffalo Bills.

Despite not having taken the field this season, Kaepernick has been regularly in the spotlight after repeatedly refusing to stand during the national anthem in protest to raise awareness for racial injustice and police brutality in the United States.

It’s hard to imagine that Kaepernick would not be the starter for a good while considering how terrible Gabbert has been this season.
