Dallas Cowboys superfan Chris Christie was able to witness his favorite team get bounced from the NFL playoffs in person yesterday at Lambeau Field. And I can’t believe I’m saying this about the New Jersey governor, who supports an extremely hateable franchise, but I actually feel sorry for him. To have Dez Bryant’s bit of heroics taken away in that big of a moment just seems criminal. As an impartial observer, it felt as though we were robbed of a great moment and further drama thanks to a poorly-written rule.

Of course, that doesn’t mean I can’t enjoy the hilarious reaction Christie had when finding out Bryant did not “complete the process of the catch.” Dude looks like he’s on a roller coaster watching a Paranormal Activity movie. His good buddy, Jerry Jones, doesn’t seem to be taking the disappointment sitting down either.
Man. Sports are hard, no matter how rich and powerful you’ve become.
