Ex-Cardinal Chris Johnson Threw Some Significant Shade At Bruce Arians’ Play-Calling On Sunday

Back in October, in a very ironic twist, Arizona Cardinals running back Chris Johnson tweeted that Adrian Peterson, then on the Saints, needed more touches. Shortly thereafter, Peterson was traded to the Cardinals to get those touches and CJ2K was unceremoniously cut from the team.

So it would be easy to understand if Johnson were a little bitter towards his old team and its head coach Bruce Arians.

Some of that saltiness appears to have shown up this past Sunday as the Cardinals got thrashed by the then 3-6 Houston Texans 31 to 21.

As Peterson once again struggled to find any running room, going for just 26 yards on 14 carries, Johnson piped up on Twitter criticizing Arians’ play-calling.

Seems like a pretty direct shot right there, no? That’s what fans believed as well, leading to some entertaining back and forth between Johnson and those on Twitter.

Not that it slowed Johnson down any in his criticism of the Cardinals…

Good stuff.

Man, just think…before social media how we never could have been able to witness petty beefs like this. What a world!
