The Golden State Warriors made a big move this offseason after trading for Chris Paul to bolster the roster.

They certainly hope to remain on top of the Western Conference, as the lineup is beginning to take form.

However, it’s apparently unclear what type of role Chris Paul will have on the Warriors. During an interview, he stated as much when asked about it.

Anthony Slater shares a video of a reporter assuming Paul will be coming off of the bench and mainly playing with the young talent instead of Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green.

Before answering the question, Chris Paul snapped back at the reporter, saying “you coaching?” Here is Paul’s full response.

Look, there are numerous options on the table for the Warriors right now and they involve having Chris Paul either in the starting lineup or not.

Even so, NBA fans are a bit puzzled that Paul doesn’t know his role just yet. Additionally, many believe Paul is for sure going to come off of the bench. Meanwhile, some think he’s for sure going to be starting alongside Curry and the gang.

For that reason, speculation is growing that the veteran point guard may not be the best fit for Golden State after all.

Age could be a factor, but let’s not pretend that Chris Paul wasn’t getting starting time with the Phoenix Suns last year. He’s never averaged less than 31 minutes played throughout his entire career.

Some Warriors fans are already biting their nails.

Maybe Paul will come around to the idea later on in the offseason.

As you can see, Chris Paul certainly caused a stir with his comments about the Warriors. It’ll be interesting to see what role he plays for this team next season.

Either way, he can be a tremendous help for Golden State. Especially considering Paul is still one of the best facilitators in the league.
