A Clemson football commit is going viral for what he did in a recent workout. The soon-to-be Tiger was spotted casually squatting nearly 600 pounds.

That player is class of 2024 pledge Sammy Brown, who plans to suit up on the defensive side of the ball in Clemson next year. Judging by this recent training, he’ll be college-ready come next fall.

Brown was a huge get for the Dabo Swinney on the trail, being considered the top-rated linebacker in the history of the recruiting services.

His flowing mullet might be the best in the class, too.

24/7 Sports lists the defender as the fifth-best player in the country, regardless of position. He could soon be the next great linebacker to come through upstate South Carolina, following in the footsteps of Ben Boulware, Levon Kirkland, and Isaiah Simmons.

Brown is making headlines before reaching campus, though.

This week, he’s going viral for a recent workout where he squatted 585 pounds with ease.

College football fans have been quick to comment online.

One person wrote, “That dude got in the bucket. He could have hit 600 if he’d wanted.”

Someone else said, “My knee popped watching this.”

“This kid is a genetic freak,” this fan posted.

Sammy Brown chose the Clemson football program over the likes of Ohio State, Tennessee, Oklahoma, and two-time defending national champion Georgia.

He’ll look to continue a tradition of defense in Clemson as the Tigers have fielded top 25 scoring units in each of the last 10 seasons.
