Shedeur Sanders is “thankful” that President Trump and others defended him during his NFL draft slide. Two weeks ago, Sanders slid to the seventh round of the draft when many expected him to go in the first round.
During the draft, President Trump blasted NFL owners for not drafting Sanders in the first round.
“What is wrong with NFL owners, are they STUPID? Deion Sanders was a great college football player, and was even greater in the NFL. He’s also a very good coach, streetwise and smart! Therefore, Shedeur, his quarterback son, has PHENOMENAL GENES, and is all set for Greatness. He should be “picked” IMMEDIATELY by a team that wants to WIN. Good luck Shedeur, and say hello to your wonderful father!”
After his latest minicamp practice session, Sanders was asked about Trump defending him amid his draft slide and this was his answer.
“I was truly thankful for it, including him there were alot of fans, people in barber shops, a lot of hairstylists, there a lot of fans you know, of me and of my craft and of my family, that was there for support. I was just thankful that I have that foundation of people that we can all come together as one.”
