West Virginia QB Clint Trickett Says His First Kiss Was With Nick Saban’s Daughter

by 6 years ago

West Virginia and Alabama will square off on Saturday in Atlanta. There are plenty of juicy story lines surrounding the matchup.

How will the Crimson Tide respond from two consecutive losses to end last season? Will West Virginia fans burn couches before, after or during the game (or all three)? Will Chick-Fil-A ever change its closed-on-Sundays policy?

All of these pale in comparison to the bombshell dropped by Mountaineers quarterback Clint Trickett.

Trickett has known Alabama head coach Nick Saban for a long time.

But Trickett apparently had a relationship with another Saban, as well.

“His daughter (Kristen) was my first kiss back in the day,” Trickett said, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

That revelation could turn into a bit of bulletin-board fodder as Trickett’s Mountaineers open against Saban’s Crimson Tide in the Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game in Atlanta on Saturday.

“So yeah … I don’t know if I should have said that,” Trickett said. “She’s actually engaged now.”

Trickett quickly added: “For clarification, we were like 6 years old! Just so everyone knows that.”

Whoa. SALACIOUS. Trickett probably didn’t even want to smooch the young Saban but overcame his fear of cooties in the interest of winning a football game 15-some years later.

Truly a long con.
