Colin Kaepernick Fires Back After Trent Dilfer’s Says His ‘Job Is To Be Quiet, And Sit In The Shadows’

“No matter how passionate you are, no matter how much of a burden you have (sic) for a social issue, you don’t let it get in the way of the team. The big thing that hit me through all of this is that this is a backup quarterback, whose job is to be quiet, and sit in the shadows, and get the starter ready to play week 1.”
– Trent Dilfer’s thoughts on Colin Kaepernick seated protest of the National Anthem.

That is SOME comment. And it’s one of many things in Dilfer’s two minute diatribe that caused Randy Moss to stare holes through him. Just watch the entire thing. The look on Moss’ face is nothing less than, “I hate this motherfucker.”

After the 49er’s walloped the Rams 28-0 in last night’s game, Colin Kaepernick — AKA the lowly janitor of the 49er’s who’s opinions, contributions, and life apparently don’t matter — expressed his feelings about Dilfer’s comment towards him. Unsurprisingly, he wasn’t a fan.
