Colin Kaepernick’s longtime girlfriend Nessa wants to know why he’s still interested in playing in the NFL.
Earlier this week, Kaepernick said he still trains in case he gets an NFL opportunity, despite not having played pro football in nearly 10 years.
“I have to do everything that is in my control to make sure that I’m prepared. And I mean that whether that’s training, whether that’s making sure I’m making the right calls. I want to make sure that what I have control over, I’m showing up the best way possible there”
“I still train five days a week. I’m up at 4:30 in the morning doing my training before I go about the rest of my day.”
Kneeler and former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick, 38, says he is still ready to play in the NFL & is just waiting for a team to call him up.

During a recent episode of her podcast, Nessa grilled her boyfriend about why he still wants to play in the NFL.
“If the owners are so bad, why do you still want to play in the NFL? Why do you still want to be a quarterback?” she asked him.
Kaepernick responded to his girlfriend with the reasons why he still wants to play football.
“That sounds eerily similar to, well, if you have so much to say about the United States, why don’t you go back to Africa? Having a love and passion for football Does not absolve you from the wrongdoings that you do as part of that, as the NFL as an organization.
“Do I also know that stepping on that field and continuing to pursue my passion and go out and be great at what I do as a quarterback and as a football player is something that I should not have taken away from me from going out and trying to fight for our community? Absolutely. I don’t believe those are exclusive to each other.”
