Wyoming guard Cort Roberson got a new tattoo during the college basketball offseason. It is the most basketball tattoo in the history of tattoos.

Cort Roberson is a 6-foot-0, 157-pound redshirt sophomore from Arlington, Washington. He had multiple offers for more minutes at smaller schools out of high school but committed to the Cowboys because he wants to prove that he can play on this level. And he can!

Although his playing time is sparse, few players on the team are as important as he.

Wyoming teammate Jeremiah Oden called him the “heart and soul” of the program. Head coach Jeff Linder called him “invaluable.”

Roberson serves as the college basketball equivalent of the scout team quarterback in practice. Come game day, he is the leader of the ‘Blue-Collar Boys’ bench mob. They get incredibly hype!

Not only is Roberson a team favorite, but a fan favorite. The crowd went bonkers for his second and third career points last year.

At some point between last March and the start of the 2023/24 season, Roberson decided to get a new tattoo. It reflects his love for basketball in the most simple stated way possible.

It is a basketball. Literally. Just a basketball. That’s it.

Roberson’s tattoo is legendary.

That right there is a man who loves to hoop and does not care who knows! Nobody in college basketball can come close to Roberson’s dedication to his sport. He has a permanent reminder of his passion for the game on his right shoulder. It’s not small. It’s not overly detailed.

Nothing more was necessary. Just the basketball.

Roberson’s focus is on basketball. Everything else comes second. His shoulder says so!

And to make the entire thing even better, Roberson is – by all accounts – a fantastic guy. It would not be nearly as cool of a tattoo if he wasn’t an undersized guard who bet on himself and stepped up to be a leader in the locker room at a D1 program. Incredible!
