Sports Bettor Experiences Ultimate Regret After Hedging On Incredible $1M, 25-Leg Parlay

A sports bettor is feeling ultimate regret after missing out on the chance to be a millionaire. This gambler placed an insane 25-leg parlay on college football Saturday, and nearly hit on every single game.

In fact, every game did hit. Unfortunately, the bettor cashed out after the 23rd leg. Check out the incredible ticket below.

After connecting on the first 23 legs, the slip needed the over to hit in the Michigan State vs. Washington game, as well as a cover from Texas A&M against Miami.

But with the bettor uncertain about hitting on the final two matchups, he hedged.

I can’t say I blame him. I mean Texas A&M did just lose to Appalachian State last weekend. Would you be willing to risk $250K on the Aggies to cover a touchdown spread against a Miami team that was ranked 13th in the nation?

But the Aggies did cover, beating the Hurricanes, 17-9. Michigan State and Washington also did their job, totaling 67 points, well above the 56.5-point line set by the sportsbooks.

Had the bettor just hung on for those last two games, that payout would’ve gone up another $750K. Social media was quick to react to the missed opportunity.

Internet reacts to missed $1M college football bet

Fans were quick to respond to seeing the missed $1M college football bet.

Sports betting reporter Darren Rovell said, “The man who hit a 25-leg parlay yesterday. $7.16 to win $1,016,045. He cashed out at 23 legs for $252,130.”

Another account posted, “Ppl giving this guy shit because his last 2 best hit and he could have had $1M… he still turned $7 to $250k I think he feels just fine today I know I would,” in response to seeing the bettor cash out early.

Again, certainly can’t blame him for cashing out early and turning $7 into $250K, but man, what could’ve been.
