Things got a bit awkward during today’s broadcast of the Notre Dame-Toledo game on NBC’s Peacock app.
Before the start of the game, NBC decided to keep their analysts on the field talking about football while a 9/11 memorial ceremony took place behind them.
Very awkward on Peacock as Jac Collinsworth & Corey Robinson continue on-field pregame as ceremony honoring 9-11 is clearly heard in background.

Here’s the video of what transpired on Peacock.
Fans were not happy with Peacock’s decision to have their commentators talk over the 9/11 memorial and blasted them for it.
#Peacock had Jac Collinsworth and his broadcast partner talking over the Notre Dame priest honoring the alumni that died on 9/11. Who made that call?

Hey Peacock announcers. How about you stop running your mouths while the prayer for the victims of 9/11 is being said?! This is beyond irritating. STFU!

The most disrespectful thing I've seen in some time. Notre Dame Father paying tribute to those lost in 9/11 as NBC Peacock sports announcers talk right thru the tribute.

Meanwhile, on the Peacock network, they are doing some sort of 9/11 tribute but the announcers are yammering on about the quarterback play
