Morgan Suarez plays Division-I college football at James Madison. His girlfriend, Savannah Stroop, is a pilates instructor.
She loves to humble him.
Many college football players (and men in general) look at pilates as a fake workout. I used to be one of them until I got on the mat. I won’t disrespect pilates again. The same can be said for Suarez, I’m sure.
College football players struggle with pilates.
Morgan Suarez is a seventh-year senior. He began his career at Florida Atlantic in 2020 and spent five seasons with the Owls. He transferred to James Madison with two years of eligibility remaining last year.
Suarez, a placekicker, went 14-of-19 on field goal attempts and 65-for-65 on point-after attempts in 2025 as the Dukes played their way into the College Football Playoff as Sun Belt champions. His single-season scoring was the seventh-most points in school history.
Seeing that he has already played six seasons of college football, Suarez knows a thing or two about conditioning. Even the specialists are required to partake in team workouts. They are not exempt. He is in great shape.
However, his girlfriend still manages to humble him at every opportunity. Savannah Stroop is a former cheerleader at FAU who is currently employed as a fitness instructor at TREMBLE.
She loves when she gets to lead Suarez and his college football teammates through one of her workouts. She loves to watch them struggle.
Stroop forces them to get low even when they don’t want to.
Suarez will occasionally snap.
He sometimes tries to tell her off. She keeps him in check.
It is so much harder than it looks.
The Division-I football players are forced to work muscles they didn’t even know exist. It’s a struggle!
Savannah Stroop also went head-to-head with Morgan Suarez during an at-home core workout. She was able to hold “the teaser” position much longer than her D-I boyfriend while giggling the entire time.
Needless to say, pilates is not a joke. I can speak from experience.
And to be fair to Suarez, he is not the only college athlete to struggle with this kind of alternate workout! Ole Miss players were embarrassed by Lane Kiffin’s daughter. A group of college baseball players in Mississippi were shocked by the difficulty. Even Haley Cavinder forced NFL tight end Jake Ferguson to sweat it out on a reformer. They will never disrespect it again.
