The 2026 college football season will feature around 15,000 players on an FBS roster. Many of them will end up standing out thanks to their play during the campaign, but there are also a few that have already made a name for themselves thanks to unique, unusual, and otherwise eye-catching names that stick out from that crowded pack.
This is the College Football All-Name Team for the 2026 season
Over the past few years, I’ve made a habit out of spending much more time than I care to admit scrolling through the rosters of every FBS team in the country in search of the guys with the best names in college football.
There’s no real criteria for making this list. In some cases, they come from monikers being particularly apt based on the player’s position (Alabama’s QB Reese would have gotten the nod if he pursued his destiny instead of playing linebacker), but it ultimately boils down to spotting them on a roster and thinking, “Man, that’s a sick name.”
