The Indianapolis Colts had a rough go this year and they’re hoping a strong offseason can turn things around.
Considering they’ve struggled at the quarterback position since Andrew Luck’s retirement, it might be time to bring in a new rookie quarterback.
From the sounds of it, the Colts could be considering making a big move to ensure they select the guy they want. According to Zak Keefer, general manager Chris Ballard claims he’d “do whatever it takes” after being asked if “would he give up heaven and earth to trade up and get [a quarterback]?”

Ballard: “Yes. I’d do whatever it takes.”

The Colts have the fourth overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft. It’s not a guarantee they’ll get the quarterback they want if they sit with that pick. Especially considering the Houston Texans have the number two pick overall. However, it surely sounds like the Chicago Bears “are open for business,” per Patrick Finley.

With Chicago holding onto the top pick of the draft, the Bears hold all of the cards right now. After watching Justin Fields put everything together with a minimal cast, this franchise could be in the market to trade the number one pick for a haul. Between the Texans and Colts, a possible bidding war could take place.
We’re still months away from the draft. Until then, rumors are going to swirl nonstop. So, keep an eye out on the Bears, Texans, and Colts, as trade rumors will increase with each passing day.
