Conor McGregor has once again found himself at the center of controversy.
On Tuesday night, McGregor may have crossed the line when he attacked Khabib Nurmagomedov’s wife in a in now-deleted tweet where he called her a “towel”.
Remember when people tried to argue that Conor McGregor isn't racist and the things he said were just "banter". pic.twitter.com/pc017RD9dZ

McGregor’s tweet likely was in response to comments made by Nurmagomedov earlier in the week. While speaking at an event in Moscow, Nurmagomedov called McGregor a “jealous wife” for attempting to use his “retirement” as leverage against the UFC.

“I don’t think he’s finished,” Nurmagomedov said. He added, “Conor acts like a jealous wife who says ‘I will leave’ all the time but then comes back.”
The Internet was not pleased with McGregor who has a habit of crossing the line with his trash talk considering “towel head” is a racist derogatory term aimed at Muslims,.
Talking shit, this guy is insulting someone’s wife and making fun of her religion and belief. He doesn’t realize he’s insulting 1.5 billon Muslims. Religion and family is a no no. You’re fucked Connor, let’s see what the media is going to say now. He’s a rapist, and a bitch.

Conor McGregor gets constant free passes for casual racism because he’s Irish. If an English sportsman had called a Muslim’s wife a “towel” there’d be fucking uproar.

Tonight’s incident isn’t the first time Conor has been called a racist. Before the lead up in his fight with Nurmagomedov in October many felt McGregor was out of line with his trash talk that led to the now infamous UFC 229 post-fight melee.
Will Conor McGregor be remembered as one of the greatest fighters in MMA history or as the racist who provoked Khabib Nurmagomedov? pic.twitter.com/F94F0stqav

Considering McGregor has basically been allowed to say whatever he wants I highly doubt the UFC will punish him for the tweet directed at Khabib’s wife.
