Conor McGregor is locked in for his fight against Max Holloway.
On Saturday, McGregor makes his long-awaited return to the Octagon.
Ahead of the fight, McGregor is attempting to assure fans that he’s still hungry and is taking the fight seriously.
“I’m up against one of the most active bodies in the fight game in Max Holloway. It is a colossal challenge ahead of me that I am entering with supreme confidence. The fire is in my belly, roaring and is about to be released.”

McGregor is even going as far as abstaining from sex to get an edge against Holloway.
“I’ve practiced abstaining during this camp; it’s the first time I’ve ever done it. I’m abstaining from any physical touch, if you will, and that’s pretty intense. I’m excited to see what happens on Saturday night.”

Holloway thinks he’ll easily defeat McGregor to set up a trilogy later in the year.

“Imma go in there and put paws on him. I wanna make him wish he didn’t come back – actually, no, I’m not gonna make him wish that. I’m gonna make him think that he can do it one more time, so we can rematch at the end of the year.”
“He was talking about some contract stuff, how he doesn’t want to wait a year [to fight again],” Holloway said. “I told him, ‘Don’t need to worry, bro. I got you.’ I go out there and get my hand raised in some crazy fashion, poke the bear a little bit more [with McGregor], poke [UFC CEO] Dana White, and we do Allegiant Stadium in December.
