Although Conor McGregor is unranked and Nate Diaz is no longer under contract with the UFC, both fighters still draw a massive crowd. For that reason, fight buzz is heating up between the two stars.
Both fighters went back and forth online, sending insults and jabs at one another. So much so, UFC fans are chomping at the bit for a third bout between McGregor and Diaz.
It all started when Conor McGregor shared his interest in Dana White’s new Power Slap League. Basically, two people stand at a podium like in arm wrestling, but instead, each opponent takes turns slapping the other across the face. McGregor sure seemed interested in potentially participating in the event.
This power slap championships is growing on me. Who doesn’t like watching good quality clatters hahaha

However, things took a turn when he called out Nate Diaz as his opponent. As usual, McGregor sent a subtle jab at Diaz, which caused the entire spat between the two.
Me Vs Nate on it for the title hahahaha maybe that’s a title you’d have a better chance of coming close to winning Nate you little slapper hahahaha

Of course, Diaz had the perfect response to Conor McGregor.
I already beat you at that game too 👋 @TheNotoriousMMA @danawhite pic.twitter.com/Otb5DZJULt

Nate backed that up with another tweet, claiming he knocked out McGregor “faster than Floyd did.”
If submissions weren’t allowed
I knocked you out way faster than Floyd did 😴 pic.twitter.com/yy66rBsXFi— Nathan Diaz (@NateDiaz209) December 19, 2022
Then, Conor McGregor hit Nate Diaz with a concussion diss.
Got you back with concussions. Real smacks. https://t.co/sTEoMXXQLn

From there, the UFC superstar gave Diaz some credit, tweeting him “Respect” before hinting at a possible third matchup.
I telling you bro I been milling people your shape and size and bad. But gonna be a knock no doubt. I not sure I give a rats fully but I gonna go sprint until I can’t sprint no more in the 3rd fight I don’t care. Opening bell the absolute most power I have on me. Until we’ll see

Perhaps a third fight is in the future. We’ll have to see if that happens or not. Conor McGregor must clear PED testing for six months before he can return to the cage. Meanwhile, Nate Diaz is currently unsigned and is a free agent in the MMA world. Either way, keep an eye on these two, as Dana White could possibly make it happen if they wanted to fight.
