Conor McGregor Absolutely Slams Rafael dos Anjos, Says He Should Be A Two Weight World Champ

Conor McGregor has always been known to run his mouth and talk serious shit about anyone who has strong feelings about, and the Irish MMA fighter’s latest victim is fellow UFC fighter Rafael dos Anjos.

While McGregor is focused on training for his epic rematch with Nate Diaz at UFC 202, he still had time to bash dos Anjos—who was originally supposed to fight Conor at UFC 196 back in March before the Brazilian had to pull out because of a broken foot.

Per FOX Sports, here’s what Conor McGregor had to say via conference call:

“Realistically, I should be a two-weight UFC world champion.”

“If I fought Rafael dos Anjos, if he didn’t (expletive) out of that last one, the shots I cracked Nate with in the first eight minutes of that round would have KO’d Rafael dos Anjos stiff. That’s no question. I would be sitting here as a two weight world champion..”

Damn, son, McGregor went IN on the poor dude.

Apparently, Conor’s pissed off that, not only did dos Anjos pull out of their scheduled fight, but that, without dos Anjos, Diaz stepped in as his replacement, ultimately beating McGregor.

Making matters worse, dos Anjos lost in his return match to Eddie Alvarez, losing the lightweight belt and costing McGregor the chance at, potentially, being a two-weight champ.

As for his upcoming fight with Diaz, McGregor said that the fight is, arguably, the most important of his career.

“Make no mistake — this one means a hell of a lot to me,” McGregor said. “This one means more than any amount of money or gold combined. I gave up a hell of a lot of money, I gave up Hollywood opportunities for this contest. I wanted to restrict media, I wanted to solely focus on this.

“So that should tell you how much this fight means to me. I’ve been preparing accordingly.”

McGregor’s saying and, apparently, doing the right things to return to the top of UFC, so it’ll be interesting to see who else he takes jabs at along the way.
