Cowboys’ Coach Named ‘Leading Candidate’ To Replace Pete Carroll In Seattle

The Seattle Seahawks are shaking things up this offseason.

On Wednesday afternoon, the Seahawks announced that Pete Carroll would no longer be the team’s head coach.

Seahawks owner Jody Allen released a statement revealing that Carroll will stay with the team in an advisory role.

“After thoughtful meetings and careful consideration for the best interest of the franchise, we have amicable agreed with Pete Carroll that his role will evolve from Head Coach to remain with the organization as an advisor.”

“His expertise in leadership and building a championship culture will continue as an integral part of our organization moving forward.”

According to multiple reports, Cowboys defensive coordinator Dan Quinn, who had previously worked as Seattle’s defensive coordinator in 2013 and 2014, is being named a “leading candidate” to replace Carroll in Seattle.

It’ll be interesting to see if the Seahawks are will interview Jim Harbaugh, who appears to be flirting with the NFL after his national championship win this week.
