It seems like the Cowboys and Ezekiel Elliott are nearing a deal that will end the running back’s hold out before the start of the season.
Just yesterday, ESPN’s Ed Werder reported that the Cowboys were willing to pay Elliott more than Le’Veon Bell and less than Todd Gurley.
Sources: The most recent offer in negotiations between holdout Ezekiel Elliott and the Cowboys came from the team. Elliott has been offered a contract making him one of the NFL’s 2 highest-paid RB. That would suggest team offering more than LeVeon Bell and less than Todd Gurley.

Today, two reporters from 103.5 The Fan are reporting that a Cowboys deal with Elliott is imminent and could happen over the weekend.

Zeke’s deal will apparently will be closer to Gurley’s contract ($60 million deal with $45 million guaranteed) than Bell’s contract (four-year $52 million deal with $27 million guaranteed) but the Cowboys will make Zeke earn more of the guarantee than Gurley.

Other reporters are currently working to verify the contents of the deal but it does seem like Zeke will play week one for the Cowboys.
