Cowboys Projected To Sign Pro Bowl WR CeeDee Lamb Up To $30 Million A Year

There are growing indications that the Dallas Cowboys are considering a substantial contract extension for their star wide receiver, CeeDee Lamb.

Machota, while discussing the priority the team should place on contract extensions for several players, ranked Lamb as the second priority, just behind quarterback Dak Prescott.

Machota’s column highlights the significant financial landscape for top-tier wide receivers in the NFL. He notes that the top 10 highest-paid receivers in the league all earn at least $20 million per year, with the top five averaging around $24 million annually.

The highest-paid receiver currently is Dolphins Tyreek Hill, who signed a four-year contract worth $30 million per year. Machota expresses his belief that the Cowboys will go to great lengths to retain their number one wide receiver.

Presently, CeeDee Lamb remains under his rookie contract, which includes a salary of $4.5 million for the current season. This places him at the 46th position in terms of receiver salaries.

The team exercised their option for the 2024 season in April, which is set to pay Lamb approximately $18 million. However, these figures fall significantly below the projected earnings for Lamb if he were to test the open market.
