This unfortunate news comes at a bad time for the Cowboys, who are off to a strong 2-0 start in the 2023 NFL season.
Trevon Diggs had been a standout performer during his career, notably leading the league in interceptions with an impressive 11 during the 2021 season.
Diggs earned a lucrative contract extension earlier this year, with a 5-year deal worth $97 million, including potential bonuses that could push the total value to $104 million.
With the Cowboys set to face the 0-2 Arizona Cardinals in Week 3 this Sunday, the absence of Diggs on the field might not be as significant, but if it’s a long-term injury, they’re in trouble.
