After Jerry Jones said on the radio earlier this week that Odell Beckham Jr. would look good wearing the famed Dallas Cowboys star, running back Ezekiel Elliot has now joined the recruitment mission by saying in no uncertain terms that Dallas wants him on their team.

“We want him. We want OBJ,” Elliot told reporters on Wednesday, November 9.

Ezekiel Elliot joins Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones in expressing an interest in signing wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr.

Elliot’s comments echo that of Jerry Jones, who sang the wideout’s praises earlier this week:

“Odell [Beckham Jr.] is someone that we have all the appreciation in the world for what he is as a competitor. I know the Cowboys star on that helmet when he puts it on could look pretty good,” Jones said on 105.3 The Fan.

Beckham, who has been out with an injured ACL since last year’s Super Bowl, is expected to sign with a contender in the coming weeks as he nears a return to the field.

Heading into Week 10, the Dallas Cowboys are second in the NFC East with a 6-2 record, trailing the first-place undefeated Philadelphia Eagles by two games. Alongside the Eagles, the Cowboys are currently one of the favorites in the NFC alongside the Minnesota Vikings (and potentially the San Francisco 49ers if they can get their act together).

Next up for the Cowboys is a trip to Green Bay to take on Aaron Rodgers and the struggling Packers. They’ll then face off against the Minnesota Vikings in an epic clash between two of the NFC’s top teams on Sunday, November 20 before hosting the New York Giants for their traditional Thankgiving Day game on the 24th.
