There have been numerous mock drafts and it’s to the point where we’re pretty much over it and just want to see how the actual NFL Draft plays out.
Having said that, nobody is quite sure what the Kansas City Chiefs are going to do with the final pick of the first round.
However, Cris Collinsworth offers his thought process after releasing his final mock draft before the real thing kicks off.
Everything was going fine and dandy until his mock draft selection for the Chiefs.
During a segment on PFF, Collinsworth actually mocked Hendon Hooker to Kansas City in the first round. He explains his reasoning in the video shared by Devon Clements.

His explanation does actually make sense. The Chiefs would be in trouble if anything serious happened to Patrick Mahomes.
But a quarterback in the first round? You can achieve the exact same goal of acquiring a quarterback much later. Especially when you have Mahomes as your starter.
As you can imagine, NFL fans dragged Cris Collinsworth for his mock draft pick for the Chiefs.

It’s extremely unlikely the Chiefs select Hendon Hooker, or any of the top quarterbacks in this year’s draft class.
They very much could take someone in the later rounds though.
But yeah, Collinsworth may have just revealed the worst mock draft for any team the day before the NFL Draft.
