When you’re in the NBA D-League you have to bring an intense energy to each game. You want to show the big club that you will do whatever it takes to make an impact. You want to have your passion on full display and people to comment on your heart.
You don’t, on the other hand, want to fight with your teammates during a game.
Iowa Energy players Jarnell Stokes and Kalin Lucas didn’t execute that part of the plan last night. During a game against the Rio Grande Valley, they got into a rather aggressive confrontation during a team huddle.
Hilariously, they were both ejected for in-fighting.
Great job by the referees here. Can’t have friendly fire marring an otherwise classy D-League affair.
The Energy’s next practice should be fun and filled with crucial getting-along drills.
