The Jason Garrett saga in Dallas appears to be finally over.
According to Fox Sports’ NFL insider Jay Glazer the Cowboys have informed Garrett that he is out as head coach.

Cowboys officially informed Jason Garrett that he will not be returning as their head coach, as @JayGlazer reported. Cowboys’ HC search, which already has brought interviews with Marvin Lewis and Mike McCarthy, now continues on.

Glazer had earlier reported that Garrett had tried to lobby the team to bring him back this season.

It looks like Garrett was unsuccessful in convincing Jerry Jones in letting him coach the Cowboys for one more season.
