On Sunday, the Philadelphia Eagles defeated their hated rivals, the Dallas Cowboys, in a 28-23 thriller. But, it’s not all fun and games in the City of Brotherly Love, as one of their best players has gone down with an injury.

Star tight end Dallas Goedert went down with an injury in the third quarter, and the Eagles have received some bad news on what the injury likely is.

Reports say that the injury is a broken forearm, with more tests to come to tell if there is further damage.

That is not what the Philadelphia Eagles wanted to hear, as it is a team that has had a slew of injuries already. Those have mostly been on defense, but Goedert being out for an extended period of time could hurt an offense that relies heavily on him.

So far this year, the 28-year-old has 410 yards on 38 catches and has scored two touchdowns. And, his strong blocking helps the Eagles in their elite running game, especially on the edge on zone read plays.

Goedert could miss 4-6 weeks for the Eagles, who are 8-1 and at the top of both the NFC East standings as well as the race for home-field advantage.
