Dalvin Cook Is Looking For ‘Significant Contract’ In Free-Agency; $5 Million Offer Won’t Be Enough

Former Minnesota Vikings running back Dalvin Cook is seeking a significant contract in free agency, according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.

Speaking on the Rich Eisen show, Pelissero revealed that Cook’s camp is open to both a one-year deal or a multi-year deal, but it certainly won’t come cheap.

“Dalvin Cook is not looking to sign a $4-5 million contract, That is not going to happen.” Pelissero stated. “This is going to be a significant contract.”

Cook’s representatives are keen on securing a deal that reflects his value and contributions on the field. While the negotiations could progress swiftly, Cook is also in a position to bide his time, given that he already has $2 million guaranteed from the Vikings after being released from his previous contract.

At 27 years old, Cook has emerged as one of the league’s premier running backs since being selected as a second-round pick in the 2017 NFL Draft. Over the past four seasons, he has amassed an impressive four consecutive 1,000-yard rushing campaigns, showcasing his remarkable consistency and reliability.

Additionally, Cook has found the end zone 43 times on the ground during this period, demonstrating his ability to be a scoring threat.
