Damian Lillard Drops New Song Called ‘They Sleep,’ Feels Like A Big ‘F You’ To His Haters

Portland Trail Blazers point guard Damian Lillard is pretty fucking talented, guys.

While he had an absolute gripe to pick for not being selected to his third All-Star Game this year—the dude is sixth in both points and assists per game in the NBA—he didn’t seem to sit around and let All-Star Weekend in Toronto get him down. In fact, he did the opposite, dropping a fucking banger of a track entitled “The Sleep,” which was produced by Jahlil Beats.

Take a listen:

Lillard has shown his hip hop skills before, so this isn’t anything new, but “The Sleep” almost seems like a giant fuck you to the NBA for still not getting the respect he deserves, with favorite shot coming with the lyric: “I ain’t make the All-Stars, but I’m flu game sick/last time they count me out, what I do, Game 6?”

For those who forgot what Dame is talking about, this might refresh your memory:

Lillard might be considered a poor man’s Russell Westbrook, but it’s time to start respecting his game—on, and off, the floor.
