ESPN NFL analyst and former Detroit Lions quarterback Dan Orlovsky took part in the NFL’s Pro Bowl Skills Challenge over the weekend and actually outscored all of the competing QBs.
While the majority of NFL fans were both amused and impressed by Orlovsky’s performance, part-time First Take talking head Chris ‘Mad Dog’ Russo was not one of them.
Speaking on ESPN’s First Take on Monday, February 5, Russo called Orlovsky a “scrub” while discussing his performance in the Pro Bowl games.
Orlovsky then responded to a tweet that shared a video of Russo’s comments and called him “classless.”

Orlovsky scored a 27 at the event thanks to a last-second 10-point throw, which put his score higher than the two posted by active QBs: C.J. Stroud (26) and Baker Mayfield (24).
Orlovsky, who played college football a the University of Connecticut, was taken by the Detroit Lions in the fifth round of the NFL Draft and spent time with the Lions, Houston Texans, Indianapolis Colts, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and Los Angeles Rams during the course of his 12-year NFL career.

While he was in the league for 12 seasons, Orlovsky only prominently featured in one NFL season and that was in 2008, when the Lions went winless. In seven starts and 10 appearances for the 0-16 Lions, Orlovsky completed 56% of his passes for 1,161 yards, eight touchdowns, and eight interceptions.
For his career, Orlovsky posted a 2-10 record in 12 starts and completed 58% of his passes for 3,132 yards, 15 touchdowns and 13 interceptions.
